MOBILITY & STABILITY
The body is a complex machine that requires sufficient movement to function optimally. Immobility in one part of the body often results in dysfunction or pain in another. For example, tightness in the hips makes it more difficult for you to move and can result in low back pain. Forward head posture can cause headaches, neck pain and/or shoulder dysfunction. Kyphosis (a rounded upper back) can compress the abdominal cavity and result in digestive problems. All of these issues can be a result of insufficient movement throughout your day.
At this workshop I will address mobility as well as stability in the shoulders, hips and spine; taking you through movements to improve both. Stability keeps us balanced and strong. Mobility helps us move efficiently and comfortably. Both of these components of physical health are important to stay healthy and strong, no matter your age.
Each participant receives a simple take home exercise sequence that can be done on a daily basis.
WARRIOR FLOW SELF DEFENSE
My introductory Self defense classes will provide you with specific strategies that can help you effectively combat threats you may encounter. The best defense is avoiding dangerous situations and arming yourself with confidence. But unfortunately sometimes confrontations can’t be avoided. Warrior Flow Self Defense will give you valuable tools to help you defend yourself. I will safely instruct you on several releases as well as several striking techniques. You will leave feeling stronger and more empowered with valuable tools at your disposal.
